What Happens "now now"
When confronted with the pandemic of 2020 there were myriads of responses from various people and I thought I would classify them into the words of my upbringing and my adopted country.

And so being in the right place at the right time is now in whatever business you're in. It is about looking at that business in a lot of detail, without getting caught in the detail.
What is a Mentor - Do you need one (many) ?
The idea of a long term mentor is one who provides a framework for the mentee to be able to grow.
Dive In - be agile
One of the keys to business excellence is the ability to empower the organization to be one that makes decisions and then has enough flexibility to adjust the course later. My Book "Dive in - lessons learnt since business school" proposes that we need to be more agile and flexible.
Are values aspirational ?
Apart of the global research into culture, I interviewed the HR manager of a food manufacturing and distribution company. As part of the discussion we looked at values. We addressed the importance of values.

Today we use the term – paying it forward.How much do you do for others just because you can ?

Can we place a value on that culture or is culture a soft “thing” that cant be measured ?

I have always been fiercely independent. I have never been able to follow a particular mentor to the exclusion of all others. However, over many years in business I have had countless influencers and mentors.
